Academic Technology Center staff for 2011

BEMIDJI, Minn. (March 1, 2011) — Eight Bemidji State University students are working in the University’s Academic Technology Center during the 2010-2011 school year.

The Academic Technology Center is a resource center dedicated to helping students, staff and faculty with technology issues. The center staff manages more than 60 “smart classrooms” on the Bemidji State campus. Smart classrooms are equipped with overhead projectors, sound systems, computer connections and other classroom presentation technology.

In addition, the center manages six interactive television sites on campus that are used to interact with remote sites such as Toronto, Ontario, Canada for the University’s distance learning initiatives.

The center also offers other services such as equipment setup, video and digital media production and presentation consultation.
