Hometown News: Academic Technology Center staff

Six students are working at Bemidji State University’s Academic Technology Center (ATC) during the 2012-13 school year.

The Academic Technology Center is a resource center headed by ATC Supervisor Geri Olson, and it is dedicated to helping students, staff and faculty with technology issues. The center staff manages more than 60 “smart classrooms” on the Bemidji State campus, which are equipped with overhead projectors, sound systems, computer connections and other classroom presentation technology.

The ATC also manages six interactive television sites on campus that are used to interact with remote sites such as Toronto, Ontario, Canada for BSU’s distance learning initiatives.

In addition, the ATC offers services such as equipment setup, video and digital media production and presentation consultation.
