Optivation to host “train the trainer” program for lift-truck operators

BEMIDJI, Minn. (July 27, 2010) — Bemidji State University will sponsor a train-the-trainer program for operators of lift trucks and other industrial trucks on Tuesday, Aug. 3.

The course, delivered by the University’s Optivation venture in conjunction with the Northern Minnesota Safety Council, will be held from 9 a.m. – noon at North Central Door, located at 900 Carr Lake Road SE in Bemidji.

Participants will become licensed to drive a lift truck and will be able to certify other operators to drive industrial trucks. The course is intended to give participants the training and experience required to train other operators and evaluate their performance.
