Small Business Development Center director wins State Star honor

BEMIDJI, Minn. (Oct. 21, 2011) — Jaimee Meyer, the interim director of the Northwest Small Business Development Center, hosted by Bemidji State University, has been selected as the 2011 State Star of the Minnesota Small Business Development Center Network.

The network selected Meyer for the award for performance as director of the Northwest Minnesota Small Business Development Center, for contributions to the regional SBDC program and for showing a strong commitment to small business in Minnesota’s northwest region. She received the award at a reception during the America’s Small Business Development Center annual conference in San Diego on Sept. 6.

“It is an honor to have the opportunity every day to assist so many entrepreneurs achieve the dream of starting and succeeding in their own business,” Meyer said.
