June 11 Brown Bag Lunch features NTC medical office programs

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Center for Research and Innovation will offer a presentation entitled “Northwest Technical College’s Medical Office Programs: Meeting National Industry Demands with Unique Delivery” from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at its facility located at 3801 Bemidji Avenue North.

The brown bag lunch session format is a half-hour presentation followed by a question and answer period. Attendance is free and open to all who’d like to learn more about the topic. Participants are encouraged to bring along a bag lunch.

The featured presenter will be Nicholle Bieberdorf, academic associate and practical nursing instructor at NTC. Her presentation will highlight the role of the medical practice office manager and discuss the education pathways available at NTC. The AAS degree in medical practices office manager was created in response to national interest by physicians and other healthcare and health promotion agencies to staff their office management positions with individuals with a two-year degree

Bieberdorf is a registered nurse and brings experience ranging from ambulatory care, long-term care, and acute care settings as well as higher education. As NTC’s academic associate, she is responsible for the coordination and facilitation of new programs for campus and on-line delivery for the college
