Optivation to offer workshop on basics of Microsoft Excel

BEMIDJI, Minn. (Nov. 24, 2010) — Bemidji State University’s Optivation venture is offering an online course on the basics of formula creation in Microsoft Excel.

Dec. 6-12, 2010 – “Excel Basic Formulas”
This online course will provide the basics on writing simple formulas, making references to cells, setting up tables and using Excel’s built-in functions such as summation, and averages. After completing the course, participants will be able to write basic formulas, reference other cells in formulas, use the summation function, copy formulas and use formulas built into Excel.

The course will be led by Cal Rice and carries a $75 registration fee. A registration form is available at:
