A unique art exhibition that bridges the generations called Pathways: The Art of Bemidji Sate University opened on November 5 and will be on display through January 2011 at Neilson Place, 1000 Anne Street NW, in Bemidji. The long-term skilled nursing facility is the site for a large installation of paintings by students from the Department of Fine Arts and professor, Natalia Himmirska. The exhibition ranges from works by students publicly exhibiting for the first time, to advanced students reaching for new means of expression, to works by Professor Himmirska, who has been internationally recognized in prestigious juried shows in the E.U. and in Russia. Pathways also includes paintings by recent BSU graduates who continue to show their creative work in the region.
