Participants play beep baseball at the seventh annual Northern Plains Visions of Sport Camp occurring on-campus through July 19. Campers also play goal ball, run track, swim, and learn judo. Under the direction of Dr. James Mastro, Professor of Professional Education, the purpose of the camp is twofold: (1) to act as an agency that will socialize children and youth with visual disabilities into physical recreation and sport and (2) to train future developmental adapted physical educators, special educators, and teachers of individuals with visual impairment to work with children who have these low-incidence disabilities. Campers are paired one-on-one with counselors who are from physical education and special education undergraduate and graduate programs.
