Dr. Anton Treuer, Professor of Ojibwe, shown here, or Don Day, Executive Director of the American Indian Resource Center (AIRC), will preside over a pipe ceremony on the first Monday of every month at 1:00pm in the AIRC. The purpose of the ceremony is to bring together campus and community, bridge the lines that sometimes divide faculty, students, and community, races and genders for purpose of cultural sharing. There is a short prayer in the Ojibwe custom to ask the creator and spirits to help, protect and guide those coming to and from BSU for safety and strength of purpose. All are welcome.
