Football team earns traditional Homecoming lake jump

For the 14th time, the Bemidji State Beavers were able to participate in the greatest tradition in college football -- jumping into Lake Bemidji following a win in the school's annual Homecoming game. The Beavers used an 8-play, 55-yard drive in the game's final minute, and a 37-yard field goal gave BSU a 41-40 victory over the Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs. BSU has won six of its last seven Homecoming games and is 14-5 on Homecoming since starting the traditional lake-jump victory celebration.
