The Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action is responsible for. . .

  • Assisting with search procedures/processes

The Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action (OEO/AA) assists with searches including the approval of paperwork, examination of search steps and final outcomes before the position is offered. The Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action officer (EOAAO) meets with search advisory committees to review search procedures and answer substantive questions about the process.

  • MnSCU 1 B.1.1 Discrimination/Harassment Complaint Process

The Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action (OEO/AA) is responsible for compliance with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities policy of nondiscrimination in employment and education. This policy is known as the 1 B1.1 process and procedure (MnSCU Nondiscrimination in Employment and Education Opportunity Policy). It is used to address inappropriate behavior, investigate for the purpose of fact finding, and facilitate resolution in complaints involving allegation of discrimination/harassment. Some employees may have grievance procedures in accordance with their respective bargaining agreements and human resource plans. Complaints and /or grievances are processed in accordance with appropriate policies, rules, and collective bargaining agreements/personnel plans. If you have questions about this policy against discrimination or harassment; or to report discriminating or harassing behavior; or to file a complaint, contact this office. You may also visit with other organizations and resources listed below. However, if discrimination or illegal behavior is reported, employees/supervisors/managers are required to report such behavior to their supervisors or to the Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action in order to stop and prevent such behaviors.

  • Request for Accommodations

BSU-NTC policy (Reasonable Accommodations in Employment Policy) calls for reasonable accommodations to be made for employees with disabilities on an individualized and flexible basis.
