GroupWise to Exchange / Outlook Migration

We are moving to Exchange / Outlook for several key reasons:

• Support for mobile devices is far more robust on Exchange.
• Integration with the new student e-mail system, now on Microsoft Live@EDU, will be improved.
• Novell continues to lose market share, and the future of the GroupWise product is in question.
• Many other institutions have already implemented this change and have standardized on Exchange / Outlook.

Moving users from Novell eDirectory to Microsoft Active Directory is a prerequisite for moving from GroupWise to Exchange / Outlook.  Once that process is completed, we will then begin taking steps to move to Exchange / Outlook 2010.  

Updates will be provided via portal, e-mail, and other methods.
