Campus NotesCollege of Arts and Sciences* Dr. Todd Frauenholtz, associate professor of mathematics, received the 2008 Outstanding Research Award from the New York College Learning Skills Association for an article he co-authored for the Journal for Research and Teaching in Developmental Education. The focus of the article was placement of college students into their initial mathematics course.* Dr. J. Thomas Murphy, associate professor of history, presented a paper, "To Sound My Trumpet: Henry Hastings Sibley, Minnesota, and the Rise of a National Identity," at the Northern Great Plains History Conference in Brandon, Manitoba.* Dr. Marty Wolf, professor of computer science, presented the paper, "Free, Source-Code-Available, or Proprietary: An Ethically Charged, Context-Sensitive Choice," which he co-authored with Keith Miller (University of Illinois, Springfield) and Frances Grodzinsky (Sacred Heart University), at Ethicomp 2008 in Mantova, Italy on Sept. 25.
