University prepares for budget challenges
As you are probably aware, the Governor announced in late December an unallotment of $20 million each for the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. Since the announcement, University leadership has continued to carefully monitor information coming from St. Paul pertaining to the current year and projected economic shortfalls in the next biennium.

Bemidji State University has announced its intention to formally pursue membership in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association on behalf of its NCAA Division I men’s ice hockey program.

On-line education at Bemidji State University was highlighted by Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty during his State of the State address from St. Paul on Thursday, Jan. 15.

Bemidji State University Director of Athletics Dr. Rick Goeb announced on Dec. 12 that men’s varsity intercollegiate indoor and outdoor track and field would continue to be sponsored at the University through the 2009-10 academic year.
