Overview of the Unclassified Search Process

Applicant Tracking - All applicant information will be accessed on-line. The on-line process will make it easier and more efficient for Search Chairs to coordinate the compilation and recording of search activities.

We developed and have an Application Evaluation Form for your use to better track the status of all applicants throughout the process. This will avoid multiple submissions of the same information throughout the process.

General Information

This document sets forth the process for conducting searches for faculty, administrative faculty and administrators at Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College . These processes are designed to accomplish the following:

  1. meet  our commitment to affirmative action;
  2. create sufficient documentation of the university's selection decision-making with regard to each hire;
  3. comply with state and federal laws regarding affirmative action and equal employment opportunity;
  4. to ensure all applicants fair and consistent treatment in our selection processes.

Compliance with the search process is mandatory. Any requests for exceptions must be sought and approved in advance of implementation.
