By definition, a mission statement reflects why we exist. It is what makes BSU unique from every other university. It should also be easy to remember so that all students, faculty and staff knows it and can use it as a guide in their own decision making process within their department. Engage, Embrace, Education is better than the proposed new mission.rnrnThe vision defines where we see ourselves into the future. Shaping potential, shaping worlds is still applicable to the proposed signature themes and strategic initiatives. There is no need to change it. Save the money it would cost to update stationary, webpages, etc.

To be honest I like the old misson and vision better. It was cleaner and something we all could understand better. rnrnI do like the addion of the fourth signature theme. I think we should have added that before..so kudos.
