to the Bemidji State University Department of Security & Safety. This
site has been
developed to provide information for the BSU campus community and visitors.

The Department of
Security & Safety is located in the lower level of Walnut Hall. The
office is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you have any questions

The Annual Security Report is prepared and distributed by the Department of Security & Safety. The report contains information about security at BSU, crime reporting, security department policies and procedures, crime statistics, and general and specific security information that all campus community members should be aware of. The Annual Security Report complies with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act . Among other security related requirements, the Clery Act requires campuses to report specific statistical information regarding crime to the Department of Education. This site has statistical information on crime reported by over 6000 institutions, including Bemidji State University. A

Department of Corrections. This web site contains information regarding
sex offenders, wanted fugitives, and a wide variety of other information
regarding the Department of Corrections. If you are a student looking for employment on campus, the Department of Security & Safety employs several students for a variety of positions. Following the Student Employment link in the menu above will bring you to a PDF version of our student application. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader™ to access the application. You may complete the application on line, but you must print the completed forms and submit them to the Department of Security & Safety, Walnut Hall. We believe this may be the most challenging student position on campus, but it can also be the most rewarding. Many of our student employees have gone on after graduation to successful careers in law enforcement and other fields. The most important qualification for a position with the Department of Security & Safety is a desire to give something back to the campus and community. |
