The Department of Security & Safety at Bemidji State University issues a "Security Alert" whenever a report is received that indicates a potential threat to the campus. The alerts are posted in affected buildings and on this site. Hard copies of the alerts remain posted for 30 days, and that period my be extended if it is determined that the threat continues. Alerts will remain posted on this site for one year. If the subject of an alert becomes inactive as a result of the incarceration of a suspect, or the report is determined to be unfounded, the alerts will be removed.
