Loans

After awarding gift aid and work-study, you may consider loans as another form of financial aid. Unlike other aid, they must be repaid with interest, so these are usually a final consideration. We encourage students to research their options and borrow conservatively.

Most student loans offer lower interest rates than typical consumer rates. You will also have a grace period before you must repay. 

Student Loan Code of Conduct

The Student Loan Code of Conduct applies to:

  1. all employees of the University who have responsibility with respect to education loans; and
  2. all employees of the University who are employed in the Financial Aid Office.


If you are awarded a loan, the amount you are eligible for will be listed in your Financial Aid Award notice.
