Who are the Lifestyle Educators?

Lifestyle Educators are student peer educators who are trained to give accurate and current health information to their peers. They are actively involved in developing, promoting and evaluating health programs on the B.S.U. campus. Peer educators increase student awareness about high-risk choices involving alcohol, drugs, and sex. They foster leadership skills, attend weekly meetings and assist in the recruitment of future members.

Lifestyle Educators are volunteers who are eager to give their time, energy and friendship to other students in need.
Participating in the peer education program is a great way to spice up your resume, gain valuable experience and help your peers make healthy choices!

Lifestyle Educators

On today’s college campuses students confront issues such as alcohol abuse, drugs, tobacco, sexual assault, sexually transmitted infections and stress. Many times the choices you make have a lasting effect on your future. Often your peers make you feel like you won't be accepted if you don't think or act as they do. Friends are important, but more importantly, it is essential for you to make your own decisions and not be persuaded to do something that may make you feel uncomfortable or unsafe. After all, you are the one who will have to live with the consequences of your decisions.
