The information desk is an essential part of the student union operation. Located in the upper union, students can get information on events happening on campus, including student programs, musical performances and workshops, information about BSU clubs and organizations, and room reservations. We also provide class schedules, student guides, student directories and athletic schedules. In addition to general campus information, the information desk provides the following services:

ID cards are
done Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. First ID card is free; replacement
ID's are $10.00.
CHECK
CASHING:
Check cashing available Monday
- Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Personal
checks cashed up to $100 for BSU students, faculty and staff.
LAPTOPS
4 PC's and 4 Macs are available for BSU
students to check out for up to 2 hours.
These laptops are wireless and can be used to access the internet
anywhere in the student union. In
addition, you may bring your personal laptop in to use. You will need to contact Computer Services at
218-755-3777 for wireless set up and a password.
POSTER
APPROVAL
There are 26 bulletin boards
on campus available for postings. All notices
must be approved by the Hobson Union Information desk prior to posting, and may
not exceed 14" X 22". Posters will be displayed for 2 weeks. Non-BSU related posters are considered
personal and also must be approved.
Personal posters will be hung on 2 bulletin boards in the student union
that are specifically for personal use.
BSU clubs and organizations may also have banners approved for hanging
in the lower lakeside food court and in the library tunnel. Please contact the information desk for more
information.
MAIL
DROP
Stamped letters or intra campus
mail only. Mail is brought to the BSU
mailroom at 11:00 am Monday-Friday.
LOST
AND FOUND
Items found in the student
union and surrounding areas are brought to the information desk.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Free notary service, US
postage stamps for sale, vending machine refunds and men's hockey tickets for
BSU students.
