Leadership Coordinator

Role of the Leadership Coordinator: The Leadership Coordinator is a part of the HMU team. This position is supervised by the Associate Director. The responsibilities are:

  1. Meet regularly with the Associate Director and/or other administrators to discuss schedules, priorities, processes, and outcomes
  2. Maintain communication with departmental clients and service providers in a timely manner
  3. Contribute to the on-going development of the Leadership Luncheon and Leadership Program by suggesting ideas to increase functionality
  4. Track leadership luncheon activity
  5. Assist in the coordination of the leadership luncheon and workshops
  6. Assist in the creation of a Leadership Council
  7. Effectively market the leadership luncheon and other leadership activities
  8. Assist in the recognition of leadership participants
  9. Be flexible to work with other projects, other then your specific responsibilities
  10. Have strong administrative/organization skills
  11. Have design or marketing skills
  12. Be able to work creatively inside a set of standards
  13. Be willing to learn new skills when needed for a job
  14. Effectively plan and carry out a promotional campaign for various leadership activities and functions.
  15. Represent HMU at University events as designated
  16. Attend HMU staff meetings as needed
  17. Other duties assigned

As the Leadership Coordinator, you must be able to work with several different constituents in a variety of mediums.

Requirements:

  1. Be proficient in Microsoft Office
  2. Proficiency in design programs are a plus (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite 2)
  3. Work collaboratively in a PC environment
  4. Work collaboratively with other members of HMU staff, university partners, students, and other users
  5. Understand and adhere to prescribed standards
  6. Manage administrative priorities, requests, and production schedules
  7. Maintain professional discretion with proprietary information
  8. Maintain regular schedule for office hours to meet with supervisor
