Building Assistant

Under supervision from a General Maintenance Worker or the Assistant Director, HMU, a student will perform general cleaning services on a routine basis that will include all or part of the following duties:

  • Dust and wet-mop floors.
  • Vacuum carpets.
  • Dump waste and replace waste can liners.
  • Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, fixtures, windows, doors, trim, and related furnishings.
  • Empty recycling bins.
  • Assist in room set ups which can include moving tables and chairs, staging, podiums
  • Assist with inventory of departmental furniture, supplies, etc.
