“I stopped believing in Santa Claus at age six when my mother took me to see him in a store and he asked for my autograph.”

The Student Development Transcript is a student self-reported document, with verification by an advisor or supervisor, listing various types of developmental activities while at Bemidji State University. The Student Development Transcript is intended to be a part of the student's placement credentials. It will provide prospective employers with information on the student's participation and level of involvement in co-curricular activities.
A computer file will be opened for each student applying. At any time, students may update their file or they may choose to submit all the information at one time at the end of their college career. We recommend students register for the program early in their college career as it is easier to record items of involvement as one progresses. The information may be kept on file with the Associate Director, HMU, until the student requests the transcript to be produced. A student may list involvement in any of the following five categories:
An advisor or supervisor will verify the information reported by the student on the Student Development Report form. The Associate Director, Hobson Memorial Union will review all information submitted and sign the completed Student Development Transcript.
When a student is ready to have his/her student transcript produced (usually in their senior year), a request should be made to the Office of the Associate Director, HMU and a letter quality copy of the transcript will be produced. The student will receive one copy and the career Services Office will be furnished with one copy.
Your college experiences and education consists of knowledge and skills learned both in and out of the classroom. The Student Development Transcript will provide prospective employers with the additional information on your involvement and abilities.
A student wishing to participate must register at the Hobson Memorial Union Information Desk.
