H2O: General Use Policies

  1. H2O is open to all BSU students.
  2. If you see H2O is in need of repair or cleaning, please notify the H2O staff or the HMU Information Desk.
  3. If you move the furniture while using H2O, please remember to return the furniture to its original location.
  4. Please help to maintain the cleanliness of H2O and clean up after itself.
  5. If you see the H2O computers or printer is experiencing a problem, please notify the H2O staff or the HMU Information Desk.
  6. First priority for the use of the H2O computers is club and organization business.
  7. When printing, please do so judiciously.For example, print one agenda and make copies at the HMU Information Desk for the rest of the members.

Policies for desk/office space holders.

  1. Priority for assigning desk/office space is given to recognized student organizations in good standing with Bemidji State University.
  2. An organization, which is eligible for space in another area, will not be considered for space in H2O unless extra space is available and has not been requested by an eligible organization. If space is assigned to said organization with another space option, the assignment is limited and can be revoked at the end of the semester when another qualifying organization applies for the space.
  3. The desk/office space is to be used to conduct business directly related to the mission and purpose of the organization
  4. Eight to ten office hours weekly will be kept by the Organization Lead Officer and other members.
  5. The organization will help to maintain the cleanliness of H2O and clean up after itself.
  6. If members see H2O is in need of repair or cleaning, please notify the H2O staff or the HMU Information Desk.
  7. If members see the H2O computers or printer is experiencing a problem, please notify the H2O staff or the HMU Information Desk.

  11. Please provide a list of members to the Associate Director of who can have key access to the organization?s storage space and/or desk area.
  12. Organizations must be willing to share desk/office space, recognizing that organization?s right to equal access.
  13. Storage and desk space must be applied for each academic year.
  14. H2O is open to all BSU students.

Conditions for removal of desk/office space are as follows:

  1. If the above policies are not maintained, space may be reassigned.
  2. Loss of university recognition status, i.e. failure to meet any one of the recognition requirements for the organization?s particular status.
  3. Excessive noise which disrupts other users of the H2O.
  4. Vandalism or damage to office property.
  5. Failure of an organization to post and regularly maintain required office hours (organization will receive one written warning regarding this issue).
  6. Failure to maintain an environment appropriate to an office.
  7. Violation of the University Code of Conduct.
