About BSU's International Program Center

Bringing the World to BSU and BSU to the World

Our mission is to increase students' international educational opportunities and produce graduates who are able to participate & provide leadership in a global society, and excel in an increasingly multicultural and global workforce. We also strive to promote the integration of an international perspective within BSU.

Our goals include:

  • Support and serve international students.
  • Provide travel study opportunities, both abroad & domestic, for all students.
  • Instill a global perspective within our students, centered on civility and respect.
  • Engage faculty and staff in international opportunities.

Services for International Students

The International Program Center at Bemidji State University serves international students as prospective students and during the application/admission process, provides transfer credit evaluations, conducts the international student orientation sessions, and serves as a resource throughout enrollment on matters related to F-1 and J-1student visa status.

A Family Friends program is available to provide international students with an American friend while studying in the U.S. The program provides for unique opportunities in gaining additional insights into the American culture. Participation in this program is voluntary.
