We regret having to inform you that SinoSummer 2013 has been cancelled.
Check back again; as soon as we get word of its next offering we will announce it here!
This is your chance to study at Liaoning University in Shenyang, People's Republic of China. Complementing the academic program is a two week study tour of north eastern, north central, and southern China. This is a program for the adventurous student who is culturally adaptable and flexible.
The SinoSummer program consists of orientation sessions as well as pre-trip workshops held during the spring semester at Bemidji State University, along with lectures, formal discussion groups and field trips at Liaoning University. While at Liaoning University, students will live in foreign student housing. For the duration of the tour, you will reside in modern deluxe and superior hotels. Earn twelve academic credits.
SinoSummer is open to students in good academic standing who have completed their freshman year. Non-BSU students may enroll as ‘special students’ to participate in the program. This program may include activities such as hikes, walking tours, and other forms of physical activities. Visited sites, modes of transportation, and housing accommodations may not be handicap accessible. Requests for reasonable accommodations will be carefully considered, but may not be available. You may wish to consult with the program faculty director.
The program fee for SinoSummer includes all travel, airport fees,
accommodations, tips, and most meals in China. However, some meals are
on your own. Tuition and fees for a minimum of twelve
academic credits are not included in the program fee. Payments for the
program and tuition, as well as fees, are due in full prior to
departure. Contact the BSU International Program Center for cost estimation.
PLEASE NOTE:This itinerary and the dates of the tour of China portion of the program are subject to change. The price for SinoSummer may fluctuate due to inflation in exchange rate, the number of participants, and other factors beyond the control of Bemidji State University.
