The Phoenix
The Phoenix is BSU's Gay-Straight Alliance. We are a student run organization open to all students,faculty, and staff at BSU and to Bemidji and the surrounding areas.Our main purposes are to create a welcoming, safe and accepting environment and to promote equal treatment, acceptance and opportunity for all through education and open discussions. By forming a Gay Straight Alliance, holding weekly open meetings, providing information through presentations, panels and symposiums and by holding social gatherings we are breaking the silence surrounding GLBT and questioning persons at BSU or Bemidji, thereby promoting learning and understanding.
Meetings are in the Viking Room in the lower floor of the Lower Hobson Union. The Phoenix office is located on the upper floor of the Lower Hobson Union.
