| All Students | ||
| Courses with an *(asterisk) will satisfy Liberal Education at BSU, but do not meet Minnesota Transfer Curriculum guidelines and may not be accepted as MNTC `courses at other MnSCU institutions. | ||
| Honor Program Students | ||
| Students participating in the Honors Program need to follow the Honors Program cirriculum in place of the Liberal Education requirements. See the Honors Program Office or here for more information. | ||
| Liberal Education Categories | ||
| Category 1: Communication | (requires two courses, 6 credits) | |
| Category 2: Critical Thinking | (requires completion of the rest of the Liberal Education Program) | |
| Category 3: Natural Science | (requires two courses, 7 or more credits, at least one course must have a laboratory component) | |
| Category 4: Mathematical/Logical Reasoning | (requires one course, 3 or more credits) | |
| Category 5: History and the Social and Behavioral Sciences | (requires two courses, 6 or more credits) | |
| Category 6: Humanities and the Arts | (requires two courses, 5 or more credits) | |
| Category 7: Human Diversity | (requires one course, 2 or more credits) | |
| Category 8: Global Perspective | (requires one course, 3 or more credits) | |
