DEPARTMENT PLAN (DP) for
ADVISING
for Quarter to Semester Substitution
of Sequence and Consolidated Courses
The following plan, prepared by the department, will be
used to advise students regarding quarter to semester
substitutions of sequence and consolidated courses. The plan
is based on the following Policies and Practices for
Semester Conversion Advising (Semester Conversion Committee;
Faculty Senate):
- Options for meeting the No Retake Policy when
students already have completed in quarters a portion of
a semester course
1. Using an All-University number, departments may allow
students to enroll for variable credit to complete a
portion of a semester course.
2. Using All-University numbers, departments may design
and offer appropriate transitional courses.
3. Departments may waive portions of a sequence course
requirement.
- This plan is subject to revision and
interpretation.
- For substitution of courses not listed here, see the
Quarter to Semester Course Substitution list
