A BSU transcript is a chronological listing of all course work. For coursework prior to 1975, you will need to request a copy of your record in writting, see below.

Also included on a transcript are:

  • Degrees
  • Transfer credit amounts
  • Cumulative credit amounts and GPA
  • There are two types of transcripts available:

    • Unofficial - Is not stamped with University seal or signed by the Registrar.
      Also available on the web click here for instructions.
    • Official - Stamped with the University seal and signed by the Registrar
      Availability: usually within one week, although additional time may be required at the end of a term generally used to send to other institutions

    NOTE: EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2003, THERE WILL NO LONGER BE A CHARGE FOR OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS.

    To obtain a transcript:

    Requests can be made:

    • In person (picture ID is required when picking up transcript)
    • By mail
    • By fax (218) 755-4409
    **Requests cannot be taken via phone or e-mail
    • Transcripts can only be mailed, never faxed.

    No transcript of a student's record will be furnished to any student or alumnus whose financial obligations to the University have not been satisfied.
