Officiating

Intramural sports are officiated by students. There is no experience necessary. A knowledge of sports, dependability, and a cool head are required. Rules, clinics and training sessions are held prior to the start of each sport season.

We hire new officials all year round. Flexible scheduling is available. You can still play in the sport if you officiate. Being a sports official is a prerequisite to becoming a sport supervisor.

If you are interested in officiating, you should pick up an application form at the front desk of the Rec. Center, or feel free to contact the Coordinator of Intramurals in room 110 of the Gillett Recreation Center or via phone at 755-4141. Completed applications should be turned in to the Rec. Center front desk or the Coordinator of Intramural Sports.
