Pine is the smallest residence hall on campus and houses an eclectic mix of new and returning residents. The first two floors accommodate upper class students in double-as-single rooms. The top two floors are open for new and returning residents in double rooms, and also have rooms set aside for guest housing. Pine features a beautiful study lounge with stunning views of Lake Bemidji, spacious community areas, a game room and active outdoor areas. Pine Hall also has storage lockers available for student use.

Pine offers an exceptional atmosphere for study and intellectual development. With a mix of upperclass and new students, Pine affords opportunities for meaningful interaction and mentoring. Academics and leadership are often a focus, with social and fun traditions also established. Pine has a history of a strong hall council giving students an opportunity to develop leadership skills.
Activities and Traditions
After all that studying, Pine residents like to get outside and have a good time. Sporting an active patio area, some of Pine's activities and traditions include:
Pine 1st and 2nd floors house upper-class students who have achieved Junior or Senior class standing or are at least 21 years of age.
So, I was talking to the folks over at Pine one day about the ethical implications of stopping the flow of a creek and the impact on the surrounding ecosystem when I stopped and said, "Wait a minute I'm a beaver, I don't have ethics! Or do I?" Oofdah! Did that open a can of worms.
