Welcome to Oak Hall and BSU! Enjoy Settling into your new home and meeting your neighbors. Don't worry if you don't finish unpacking and setting up,. you'll have plenty of time during the week. Many campus organizations will be here to greet you.

Open House     12:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M.

All new students, parents, and family members are welcome to take a tour around Oak Hall.

Meet in Oak Hall to walk over to Welcome Program

3:15 P.M. - 3:45 P.M.      

FYRE Welcome Program

A panel of Faculty and Staff will discuss their experiences as parents of college students.

Return to Oak Hall to meet and socialize with other students on your floor. Each floor has a planned social; please check for details at check-in.

  • 360 Students (180 men and 180 women) living on six residence hall floors.
  • Men are assigned to 4A, 4B, 2C and 4C Oak
  • Women are assigned to 3A, 2B and 3C Oak
  • 1B and 3B are Coed floors
  • Enrollment in the FYE Seminar class - 1 credit in the fall.
  • Faculty advisor is the FYE Seminar class professor.
  • 2 Peer Academic Assistants living on your floor
