The Assistant Conference Coordinator reports directly to the RHD responsible for Conferences (Contracts). Basic duties include: 1) coordinating conference contracts with the central office, 2) compiling information for each conference for Hall Directors to use, 3) working with conference host staff to facilitate check in and check out procedures 4) serving as an on-call evening duty person approximately four weekends throughout the summer, 5) taking on additional responsibilities when the Hall Director and/or other Assistant Coordinators are absent, 6) responsible for weekend bed making and extra duties in the assigned hall. The ACC must work an average of 40 hours per week and maintain a written log of hours worked
Functional and administrative supervision is received primarily from the RHD or designated summer conferences RHD. Work with all other Central staff and Assistants.
Hold secondary supervision of Conference Hosts in the specific areas of their work performance at the conference/camp check in and outs.
The ACC must have a minimum of one year experience in residence hall work, counseling, or reception desk work. Two years of experience and prior Assistant Residence Hall Director experience is preferred. Must be enrolled at Bemidji State University as a full-time student during the following fall semester. A minimum GPA of 2.00 (semester and cumulative) must be achieved upon hiring and for all subsequent periods of employment. Must be in good standing with the university conduct system.
Remuneration for the ACC will be a furnished apartment and a $2500 summer stipend. Although the ACC may be asked to assist with Conference Host selection before the end of the academic year, the employment period begins on the Saturday after the halls close for spring semester and continues through fall staff training.
