Buildings and Grounds

Job Description: We have openings in several areas in the buildings and grounds department over the summer. Positions vary, from working in the flower beds, to painting in the dorms and academic buildings, mowing and trimming lawns all over campus, and working with the sprinkler systems. 

Student must be registered for at least 6 credits fall semester to be eligible to work. A MN drivers license is required. Applications with job descriptions attached can be picked up at the Central Maintenance Building on 23rd Street.

Residential Life

Job Description: Dependable persons willing make above average pay to assist with summer residence hall operations.  Duties may include such things as linen delivery, moving things, making beds, vacuuming, cleaning, sweeping, mopping and trash removal.  Full or part time and flexible hours are available: including morning, afternoon and weekend.  Opportunities for advancement and Fall employment are available.

Security & Safety

Job Description: The Department of Security & Safety is open 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week year long, offering flexible schedules for students.  This is a great resume building experience regardless of the field you are pursuing.  This employment opportunity offers a diverse working experience and gives students an opportunity to help provide a safe and secure learning environment for all Bemidji State University students.

Technical Support Helpdesk

Job Description: Technical Support Software and Hardware Specialist: Responsible for providing phone and hands-on computer support to faculty, staff and students on a variety of software and hardware issues with the prime emphasis on troubleshooting and problem solving.  Computer knowledge a plus but not required.  Customer service skills a must.
