Public Safety Officer

The Department of Public Safety is currently in the process of hiring student officers to begin employment spring 2015 with the opportunity for full time hours during the summer.

This employment opportunity is a great resume builder regardless of field, offers a diverse working experience, and gives students an opportunity to help provide a safe and secure learning environment for the Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College communities.

Minimum requirements include: Enrolled for a minimum of six credits, GPA of at least 2.0 or higher, no criminal history (background checks are conducted), and a valid driver’s license.

Grounds and Maintenance

Summer Painting:  Duties include painting, sanding, scraping and other related duties

Grounds Worker:  Duties include mowing, trimming, planting flowers, raking, and all other related duties

Health Sciences and Human Ecology

The Dean’s office for the College of Health Sciences and Human Ecology is currently looking for a part-time summer student employee.  Approximately 20 hours weekly with the potential for rehire for fall 2015.  Partial list of duties include: acting as front office receptionist, answering telephone, filing, copying, and inter-office deliveries.    Candidate must be able to begin working in April in order to learn processes prior to summer.  Only those applicants who really want to work should apply.  The candidate must be ambitious, reliable, detailed and responsible.  Confidentiality is a must!  Contact Darla Finnegan in person in Sattgast 347.  No phone calls please.


Residential Life

Job Description:
Student General Maintenance Worker – cleaning, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and other cleaning duties as assigned
Student Moving Crew -- inventory and relocate building furniture and equipment. Organize storage spaces. Assist with cleaning, if needed.
