
The Life Choices Program and SAAC plan and promote educational and social activites for the benefit of the student-athlete's mental, physical and emotional well-being. These activities can take the form of Guest Speakers, Community Outreach, or Educational Workshops.
The following is a schedule of events created for student-athlete participation/attendance.
Athletes must attend three (3) speaker presentations during the 2011-12 school year. Speaker presentations included in this attendance requirement are marked with **.

15 - **A Student, A School & A Case that Made History** - HS 100 7 pm Hear Jamie Nabozny share his inspiring story who took a stand against bullying he expereinced in school. Jamie's story is depicted in teh documentary film "Bullied" released by the Southern Poverty Law Center. (SHCS)

29 - Senior Clean-up -- Volunteers needed to go into community to help with fall yard work at homes of senior citizens and handicapped individuals. Breakfast and/or lunch will be served to volunteers. (SAAC)

1 - 4 Suicide Prevention Week
2 - **You are Not Alone** - Hagg Sauer 100 7 pm Mental Health advocate shares his story of struggling with depression and anxiety, his triumphs over living with family members also suffering from mental health issues, and strategies to maintain positive mental health. (SHCS)
