TRiO/SSS Mission and Eligibility

Mission Statement

The goals of TRIO/Student Support Services (TRIO/SSS) are to increase retention and graduation rates of low-income, first generation and/or disabled students. The program provides opportunities for academic and personal development. and promotes as well as encourages retention through to graduation.

Eligibility Guidelines

Low Income (150% of Poverty Level) or
First Generation College Student or
Documented Disability

US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien (required)

Jan 22	Registration Day
Jan 22	Evening Classes Begin
Jan 23	All Day Classes Begin
Jan 29	Registration Cancellation for Non-Payment Deadline
Jan 29	Last day to drop classes: Refunds/adjustments Drop without a grade.
Feb 2	Financial Aid available (tentative)
Mar 1	Begin Registration for Summer Semester
Mar 12-16	No Classes - Spring Break
Mar 26	Fall 2007 semester schedule available
Mar 29	No Classes - Faculty on Duty
Apr 2	Begin registration for Fall Semester
Apr 6	Last day: Withdraw from classes or withdraw completely from University with a "W" grade, make up incompletes.
Apr 18	No Day Classes-STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT CELEBRATION (evening classes will be held)
May 11-17	Final Exams
May 17	Spring semester ends
May 18	Commencement; 2:00 John Glas Fieldhouse
May 30	Spring Semester grades will be available
