English Major, B.A.

I. Required Courses

Subtotal: 40 credits

II. Required Electives (Core)

An English major must elect at least 12 quarter hours among English courses numbered above 300. (12 credits)

III. Additional Required Electives

An English major must elect an additional 6 quarter hours in English courses numbered 200-300 and 6 above 300. An English major who has a second major in Humanities may elect Humanities courses (identified as 12-28-2xx, 3xx in the Quarterly class schedule) at the 200 and 300 levels to substitute for up to 12 quarter hours of the electives.

An English major who has a second major, or a minor, in Modern and Classical Languages may elect from that department's courses at the 300 level and above to substitute for up to 12 quarter hours of the electives. (12 credits)
