English Major, B.S. (Teacher Licensure)

The ENGL 121, 122, and 123 College Writing sequence is the prerequisite for all English courses numbered 300 and above.

I. Required Courses

Subtotal: 50 credits

II. Required Electives

Select a minimum of 21 quarter hours of electives from English courses numbered 218 or above. At least 3 courses, totaling 9-12 hours, must be at the 300 or 400 level.

*NOTE: no more than 6 quarter hours total from English 218, 219, 318 or 319 may count as electives toward the major; no more than 4 quarter hours of English 312 may count as electives toward the major. However, additional quarter hours from ENGL 218, 219, 318, 319 and 312 may be used as general electives toward the degree.
