Industrial Technology Major, B.S.

The Industrial Technology program offers a variety of fields of emphasis, some of which have an applied technology focus, while others stress management technology. The applied technology fields of emphasis, which include Industrial Design Technology, and Manufacturing Technology, prepare individuals for hands-on application of engineering theory and practice. In contrast, Construction Management, Graphic Arts Management, Industrial Training, Manufacturing Management, and Model Building fields of emphasis provide students with contemporary applications of management theories and practices in these occupational areas. *NOTE: Upon approval of the Industrial Technology Department staff, certain major courses can be substituted in the technical core, professional core, or area of emphasis from related Technical and Community College programs.

Students are strongly urged to take PHYS 111, 112, 113 or CHEM 111, 112, 113 to fulfill their Area IV Liberal Education requirements. Additionally, they are also urged to take the following mathematics courses, or to demonstrate proficiency through the mathematics placement exam: MATH 112, 113, 114.
