Medical Technology Area of Study
Medical Technology Major, B.S.
I. Transfer students must take a minimum of 15 quarter hours in
the major at Bemidji State University.
II. The student must complete the Bemidji State University
Liberal Education requirements before the year of clinical study. It
is strongly recommended that the student consult regularly with the
medical technology adviser early in the program.

Clinical year courses, taken during the senior year
beginning with summer sessions, are taken at affiliated hospitals.
NOTE: A clinical year position is not guaranteed. Students must
apply for a clinical year position by October 1 of the junior
year. Please see adviser regarding the clinical year of study.
Graduation plan forms must be approved prior to the clinical year.

Students may fulfill the requirements for the Chemistry
Minor, B.S. by taking CHEM
281 Intermediate Organic Chemistry.
