German Minor, B.A.

I.Prerequisite

212 passed with C or better (not required if students enter with appropriate background). A score on the OPI exam of at least Intermediate Low.

II. Required Courses

• GER 310 Conversation and Composition (4 credits)
• GER 311 Introduction to the Study of German Culture (4 credits)
• GER 312 Introduction to the Study of German Literature (4 credits)

Subtotal: 12 credits

III. Elective Courses

To be chosen from 400 level literature and cultural sequence, 320-322 language skill courses, or German Linguistics (430).

Subtotal: 12 credits

TOTAL QUARTER HOURS FOR MINOR: 24 CREDITS

Proficiency Requirement

All majors or minors in German must be rated at least at Intermediate High on speaking skills, and Advanced on reading and listening skills, and Advanced High on culture.
