| Modern Languages Course Desciptions
All major and minor programs listed in this section are completed with language courses at the 300- and 400-level. Quarter hours received for 100- and 200-level language courses apply toward graduation but do not apply toward the major.A language major is earned with 34, 34, 38 (French, Spanish/German) credit hours at the 300- and 400-levels (BA degree), or with 30, 30, 34 (French, Spanish, German) hours of language study (BS Teaching degree). In addition, the student must complete 9, 9, 6 (French, Spanish, German) credit hours from the list of required electives. A language minor is earned with 20, 20, 22-24 (French, Spanish, German) hours of language study at the 300- and 400-levels. Quarter hours completed in 100- and 200-level language courses apply toward graduation but do not apply toward the major.
