Developmental/Adapted Physical Education Minor, B.S.

This minor will meet the licensure requirements for adapted physical education in the State of Minnesota. In order to gain this licensure the student must also have completed the Physical Education Major, B.S. (Teacher Licensure).

I.Required Physical Education Courses

• PHED 342 Physical and Other Health Impairments (3 credits)
• PHED 343 Motor Development (3 credits)
• PHED 347 D/A Physical Education for Special Populations I (4 credits)
• PHED 348 D/A Physical Education for Special Populations II (4 credits)
• PHED 350 Practicum in D/A Physical Education (6 credits)

Subtotal: 20 credits

• ED 308 Teaching Young Children with Severe Developmental Delays and Disabilities (3 credits)
