Desciptions
The Kindergarten endorsement is available to elementary education majors. Although not required, as much of the Early Childhood field of emphasis as possible is recommended for elementary education majors wishing to add the Kindergarten Endorsement. Students must complete ED 366 and ED 376 before enrolling in kindergarten student teaching.
ED 366 Foundations of Kindergarten and Early Childhood Education (4 credits) ED 376 Communications in Early Childhood Education (3 credits) ED 424 Elective Student Teaching: Kindergarten (8 credits)
Total Quarter Hours for Licensure: 15 credits
*NOTE: Students in all programs must also complete ED 321, HLTH 381, and the Preprofessional Skills Test. ED 366, Foundations in Kindergarten and Early Childhood Education, is the introductory course for all Early Childhood licensure extensions.
