Applied Psychology: Human Services, B.S.

Applied Psychology: Human Services is a program which prepares students for immediate human services employment at the Bachelor's level. The major consists of a series of core classes designed to familiarize the student with psychological principles underlying human behavior, three courses designed to develop helping skills, a 400 hour internship, and the opportunity to specialize in one of nine areas of emphasis, including the following:

Early childhood with an education emphasis

Child development with a retardation emphasis

Criminal justice

Chemical dependency counseling

Family and community health

Gerontology

Gerontology towards long term care administration licensure

Recreation

Agency management
