Biology Minor, B.S. or B.A.

The Biology minor is designed to support other fields of study such as chemistry, physics, geology, environmental studies and certain business majors. The program will complement and enhance many majors, but does not in and by itself lead to a career choice.

Note: Transfer students must take a minimum of 5 semester credits in the minor at Bemidji State University.

I. Required Biology Core Courses

Note: BIOL 1117 and BIOL 1118 may be substituted for BIOL 1211 and BIOL 1212 with the consent of the Department Chair.

BIOL 1211 Introductory Biology I (4 credits)
BIOL 1212 Introductory Biology II (4 credits)

II. Required Biology Electives

Select 12 credits of electives from the following areas (courses are listed under Biology Major, B.S.), with at least one course in each area.
