This field of emphasis is offered for both English and non-English majors. Students may choose to focus on creative writing, business and technical writing, mass media writing, or science-related writing. Beginning with a core group of required writing courses, students may choose from a wide variety of elective writing courses that best meet career needs.

ENGL 3030 Advanced Scriptwriting (2 credits)Creative writing students may substitute one or more of the following courses for those in A. above: ENGL 1200, ENGL 1210, ENGL 1220, ENGL 1230, ENGL 1240, ENGL 4370, or ENGL 4770.
