The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program scope allows for free tax help to people who generally made $60,000 or less during the 2023 tax year, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.

BSU students who have passed IRS certification tests offer assistance to other students and the public with taxes under the guidance of Jeffrey Everhart, Assistant Professor of Accountancy, and Dr. Sandra Kranz, BSU professor emeritus in the Department of Accountancy.

VITA is available on Wednesdays from February 21-April 10 – except March 6th (Spring Break), in Memorial Hall 250 from 4-6 p.m. No appointments – walk-ins accepted no later than 5:30 p.m
